Georgia:

Georgia sits between Europe and Asia, but its borders tell a complicated story. Since the wars of the 1990s and 2008, regions like Abkhazia and South Ossetia have broken away under Russian influence, leaving the country divided and its sovereignty challenged. The presence of Russian troops near these frontiers is a constant reminder of unresolved conflicts.Inside Georgia, different communities live side by side — Georgians, Armenians, Azeris, Ossetians — each with their own culture and history. This diversity is part of the country’s identity, but also brings political tensions. Daily life often looks forward, toward Europe, yet the question of territory and minorities keeps the past very present.
